Prior to 1953, we didn’t know what DNA looked like, so where on Earth did people from 5,000 B.C. get this information from?
An intriguing stone was found by Peter Daughtrey, a British researcher and author of the book “Atlantis and the Silver City” in Silves, Algarve, Portugal. Its outstanding features make it unique in its class. It refers to the object like a huge stone that is about 2 meters long, about 7000 years old, and resembles an egg of cosmic creation.
And this egg exhibited in the Museum in Lagos has something in it that connects it to the well-known myths. This stone has a symbol that has striking similarities to the double helix design of DNA, and many of these so-called farmed eggs are shown with a snake or serpent wrapped around it.
The egg of cosmic creation is a mythological motif found in the creation stories of the whole world. In Greek mythology, this is called the Orphic egg. Similar eggs can be found in China, Egypt and all over the ancient world. It is used to explain the principles of life on Earth. Many of the ancients believed that the gods themselves sent the cosmic egg to earth and mankind was born of it.
